I read this book outloud to my three rescue dogs, two of which are Bostons. While they snored at my feet, I cried tears of joy! Anyone who reads this book or any of the Lost Souls Found series, will change their mind about shelter and rescue dogs. Some of the stories will make you laugh out loud, some will make you cry yourself to sleep, but you will remember each and every one! People ask me all the time, why would you take on a dog with one eye, or a puppy mill survivor with mange and starved? Because they need me as much as I need them. My ” junk ” dogs have taught me more about patience and unconditional love than I could have learned anywhere else. They taught me grief is part of love and healing. They taught me looks are not as important as personality. I have learned compassion and they have humbled me. Thank you Kyla Duffy for sharing these stories of rescued Bostons! United we can educate the world that these Lost Souls have a voice that deserves to be heard! Twelve paws up from my pack!

Have loved Boston terriers my whole life. Never had one. Learned so much from this book of short stories of Boston Terriers who were rescued and adopted. Our family has adopted and rescued Pitbull terriers for years. Pitbulls are close relatives of the Boston. However, never knew that so many little Bostons are in need of good homes. I hope i can adopt a Boston someday. Highly recommend this book for any dog lover.

When I started this book I knew nothing about Boston Terriers, but by the end I understood why they are a beloved breed.
I also learned a lot about the problem of puppy mills and the importance of Boston Retriever rescue organizations.
If you love dogs you will want this book, but if you don’t buy it for someone who does!
I have read all the books in the Happy Tails series and each has something special to offer. Sales from each title help support canine rescue organizations.
If you like to learn more about Happy Tails Books listen to my podcast interview of founder Kyla Duffy at [...]. Look for Episode 33.

A wonderful emotional roller-coaster of tears and laughs! Immediately engaging and uplifting as you learn more about the devastating effects of “millers”, the problem of abandonment, and the everyday heros of rescue and their nationwide comraderie that mend the broken psyches of these dogs who then go on to love and inspire their new families.
I’ve read the the Boston Terrier, Dachshund and Labrador Retriever books and recommend them all – could hardly put them down. Sometimes I laughed so loud, my own BT’s and Doxie turned around to look at me!

This book (and entire series) is a fabulously well put together endeavor! It shares amazing stories of amazing rescue dogs. Proceeds from all the books sold directly support the rescue groups that helped to contribute the stories. This book definitely educates about rescue and puppy mills and helps to raise funds for rescue groups! It makes a great bedtime story book, just make sure to have tissues on hand!
We can’t wait for the other books to come out so we can buy them for our family members with other favorite dog breeds. Looking forward in particular to the dachshund and lab books!
