I’m hoping this will be a big hit with my granddaughter who is 4 years old. This is what she told Santa she wanted and I have it waiting for her.

This toy looks cute- but that’s about it. We have had this toy since Christmas 2010. It has never worked properly. You either can’t get it to turn on, or you can’t get it to shut off. Now, it is not working at all-despite numerous battery changes.

I would not waste my money on this product. It is highly overpriced, and does not work. A piece of junk that will end up in your trashcan.

I bought this toy for my son’s 4th birthday and he was really excited! After reading all the reviews I didn’t have high expectations! We didn’t have any problems!!!!!! The toy is great on land and awsome in the water!! The item quickly turned off for us as soon as we took him out of the water! Just had to turn it off!! I would recommed this item!!

Like many others, my daughter had her heart set on this swimming puppy for a while. Finally Santa brought one. It was without a doubt her favorite toy. 3 Months later I have a very sad girl. I am reading the reviews now AFTER the purchase because I wanted to find others experiences with this toy. I am having ALL the same problems: The batteries don’t last, you need a tiny phillips, the blue on/off button rarely works even when dry but the worst is that it WILL NOT TURN OFF at times and especially after a bath. We put the puppy upside down, dried on towel a have let walk on its side in the bathroom for over an hour-still will not turn off. Like others, I have resorted to taking the batteries and compartment out nightly. This is not how she perceived her puppy to be. I am contemplating writing to the company, but it appears that another reviewer did and was simply told to dry the sensors and rub with alcohol. For us, its not the about the wasted money, it is about having a little animal lover who has her heart set on using this now and in the summer in a big pool and I will be lucky if I can get it to survive another month. Very sad and dissapointing…

Works great unless you put it in water (which is what you are supposed to do). It won’t shut off after it is in water. I had to take the batteries out which is hard to do when the legs are moving.. and then 2 days later it worked again. Sadly, my daughter cannot put it back in the water and she was very disappointed. Do not buy this if you have any intention of getting water on it. Complete waste of money.
